THE LODGE OF FOUR SEASONS TO HOST U.S. KIDS GOLF OZARKS OPEN
The Lodge of Four Seasons in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri will host the U.S. Kids Golf Ozarks Open, May 10-12. The Ozarks Open is a U.S. Kids Golf Regional Championship and will be played on The Cove golf course at The Lodge of Four Seasons and at The Club at Porto Cima.
The Ozarks Open is the first regional championship based in the true Midwest. There are currently 11 regional championships, each offering players an opportunity to earn U.S. Kids Golf Priority Status, and thus, invitations into other championship events including the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship.
“Our regional championships are designed to provide elite young players an opportunity to showcase their skills among the world’s best while playing at premier destinations,” said U.S. Kids Golf President and Founder Dan Van Horn. “The Ozarks Open is ideal for all of those things. We know the players will enjoy such outstanding venues, while all the families will love the activities and beauty offered at The Lodge of Four Seasons.”
The U.S. Kids Golf Ozarks Open will feature top junior golfers from the surrounding area. The tournament is an opportunity for those players to come together to play in a championship event at a championship venue.
“We are excited to host the inaugural U.S. Kids Golf Ozarks Open,” said Jim Cleary, chief operating officer, Lodge of Four Seasons. “The juniors will undoubtedly enjoy the challenge of The Cove, while families and friends will enjoy our diverse resort amenities offered here at The Lodge and this stunning Lake of the Ozarks destination.”
In addition to hosting the U.S. Kids Golf Ozarks Open, The Lodge of Four Seasons also was recently named one of 12 host sites nationwide for a PGA Jr. League Regional competition. Scheduled for September 14 and 15, The Lodge of Four Seasons’ famed Ridge Course will challenge the 40 boys and girls ages 13 and under who qualify for the postseason event.
