Freedom 55 Financial presents one-of-a-kind MJT National Team Challenge

 

Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON – (September 18, 2018) – The Maple Leaf Junior Tour (MJT), Canada’s number one played junior golf tour and the ‘Road to College Golf’ in Canada, is holding the fourth annual MJT National Team Challenge presented by Freedom 55 Financial^TM at Royal Niagara Golf Club in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, this year, from September 21 to 23.

 

Few junior golf events in Canada focus on team competition, and this one-of-a-kind, major event on the MJT schedule is made possible through sponsorship from Freedom 55 Financial, a committed supporter of Canadian golf.  “As a financial planning organization focused on helping Canadians achieve their dreams, it’s our pleasure to support young golfers working towards their goals at this tournament,” said Abbie MacMillan, Vice-President, Freedom 55 Financial.

 

Nestled between the 120 year old Welland Canal, the beautiful Bruce Trail and the Niagara Escarpment, Royal Niagara has been host to prestigious tournaments such as the Telus Skins Game, and will now host elite juniors from across the country in the invitation-only National Team Challenge (NTC). The NTC, which counts toward the order of merit rankings for several worldwide golf associations including the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR), Golf Canada, Golf Ontario and AJGA Performance Stars, has a total of 15 teams from the MJT, Golf Ontario and various Academies from across Western Canada, the Prairies, Ontario and North Western New York State competing against each other in a daily, collegiate style ‘best four of six’ aggregate competition. Each six-player team is made up of two Junior Girls, two U17 Boys and two U19 Boys.  The Freedom 55 Financial^TM-sponsored event also includes an individual 36-hole medal play format in each division.
