Debuts patented ON POINT 3D golf ball marker during tournament
ASPEN, CO – Jim Furyk, a former U.S. Open Champion and Fed Ex Cup Champion with 17 titles on the PGA Tour, closed with a 4-under 68 to win the Ally Challenge on Sunday at Warwick Hills in Grand Blanc, Mich. Furyk is a brand ambassador for ON POINT 3D golf ball markers and debuted the marker during his first Champions Tour event after playing with the marker for more than a year.
ON POINT is a patented, USGA approved, three-dimensional dome shaped golf ball marker. The marker sits slightly elevated behind the ball when placed on the green. Several types of alignment guides are applied on the top of the dome to help players improve their ability to read greens, see the proper line and putt with more confidence and accuracy.
“ON POINT is an essential part of my game and putting routine,“ says Furyk. “ON POINT helps me get a better read on my line. While I am waiting for other players, I can continue to read the green and envision my putt. The result is more confidence in my putting.”
ON POINT 3D ball markers were created and designed by Briston Peterson, a successful luxury home builder from Aspen, CO. Peterson is an avid, single-digit golfer who by nature of his day job visualizes lines, angles and degrees even in his sleep. He also wears glasses and as a 50-something golfer, found it increasingly difficult to line up his putts using a traditional golf ball marker. There had to be a better way to improve his alignment and sink more putts. His solution, ON POINT 3-D golf ball markers.
“ON POINT 3-D ball markers fit right into the growing trend of alignment technology in golf,” said Peterson. “Our 3D ball marker bridges the alignment gap between the putter and the ball. The dome shape and prominent lines on the top of the marker provide golfers more confidence to execute the putt when their ball and practice stroke is matched up with the lines on the ON POINT marker.”
Peterson has patented the three-line technology on its dimpled model similar to the “Triple Track” that Callaway has incorporated into its Chrome golf ball and Odyssey putter lines. ON POINT markers also come in a smooth polished grey model. The top of the marker comes with a red or black single line as well as the red and blue three-line model.
Renown putting coach Paul Kenyon who has helped hundreds of golfers of all abilities, recommends this, “Instead of just accepting that you have a certain innate ability, stop going to hit balls on the range and start spending time on the putting green.” Peterson couldn’t agree more.
