SAN DIEGO / VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Future Champions Golf (FCG), one of the world’s leading junior golf tournament organizations, and the non-profit Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT), Canada’s #1 junior golf tour, are pleased to announce an expanded international partnership for the 2027 season, creating new opportunities for junior golfers to qualify for prestigious championships, represent their countries, and compete internationally.
Through their already established partnership, FCG and MJT are expanding cross-border opportunities for junior golfers, adding on and creating new pathways to compete on the international stage through championship qualification and international team competition.
These include the established official Canadian qualifying events for the FCG Callaway World Championship, new FCG qualifiers for the MJT National Team Challenge (NTC), repeat Canadian representation at the second annual Three Nations Cup, new opportunities to qualify for MJT Team Canada at the inaugural FCG Global Games, and plans for an exciting new USA vs. Canada team competition in Florida.
Together, these initiatives further expand the international competitive opportunities available to MJT members, complementing the Tour’s established pathways for Canadian junior golfers.
OFFICIAL Canadian Qualifiers for the 2027 FCG Callaway World Championship
Through a series of designated MJT tournaments across Canada, eligible MJT junior golfers will once again have the opportunity to earn exemptions into the 2027 FCG Callaway World Championship, scheduled for July in Southern California. The 2026 FCG Callaway World Championship welcomed junior golfers from 42 countries, highlighting the event’s international reach. FCG is targeting an even larger field in 2027, with a goal of attracting 900 players from more than 50 countries.
FCG Qualifiers for the 2027 MJT National Tour Challenge
The expanded partnership will also introduce opportunities for junior golfers competing on the FCG Tour in the United States to qualify for the 2027 MJT National Tour Challenge (NTC), scheduled for September at Sawmill Golf Course in Ontario, Canada. Recognized by the World Amateur Golf Ranking® (WAGR®), the MJT National Tour Challenge brings together leading junior golfers for one of the Tour’s premier invitational championships. The addition of designated FCG qualifying opportunities is expected to further strengthen the event’s competitive field while expanding its international reach.
Canada Returns for the Second Annual Three Nations Cup
Following its successful inaugural edition in 2026, the FCG Three Nations Cup is set to return in February 2027 to Menifee, California, bringing together junior golfers representing Canada, the United States, and Mexico. This international team competition emphasizes competitive excellence, teamwork, sportsmanship, and national pride, providing young athletes with the opportunity to represent their countries while competing against talented players from across North America, offering players valuable international experience and the opportunity to develop friendships and connections that extend beyond the golf course.
New Pathway to the Inaugural FCG Global Golf Games
FCG and MJT will also work together to establish a Canadian qualifying and selection pathway for the inaugural FCG Global Golf Games, scheduled for July 26–29, 2027, at Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms Resort in Southern California. The FCG Global Golf Games mark an important expansion of FCG’s international competitive platform while creating new opportunities for Canadian junior golfers to represent their country, gain valuable international experience, and compete alongside talented young athletes from around the world.
Proposed USA vs. Canada Team Competition in Florida
FCG and MJT are also exploring the potential development of a new USA vs. Canada junior golf team competition in Florida in winter. While discussions remain in the preliminary stages, the concept would bring together qualifying junior golfers from both countries for another high-level international team event.
THE FUTURE OF JUNIOR GOLF IS GLOBAL
Additional details regarding all the above events, including qualifying criteria, will be announced once the 2027 schedules are finalized.
