G2 Academy student Hyo Joon Jang, the number one ranked junior female golfer in the U.S. captured her third win in a row this summer by winning the Peggy Kirk Bell Tour Championship last weekend at Pine Needles Golf Club in Pinehurst, N.C. Jang finished with a three-day total of 211 with rounds of 68, 75, and 68 for a total of five-under par, eleven shots better than the runner up.
This is Jang’s third win this summer after taking first place in the Carolinas Junior Girls Championship where she won by thirteen shots, finishing eleven under par, and tying the course record with a 66 in the final round. Her second win of the summer came at the CGA Hope Valley Invitational, with a four-shot victory at Hope Valley Country Club, in Durham N.C. Jang has finished in the top three in all of the tournaments she’s competed in this summer, winning three of them.
G2 Director of Golf Dan Jackson, when asked about Joon and her recent success stated “Joon is an amazing player, she has a love and passion for the game that drives her strong work ethic. Joon’s next event is the AJGA Junior Girls Championship, September 4th-7th at The Furman Golf Club in Greenville, S.C.
