-Premium hi-tech apparel brand unveils latest collection with exciting golf VR feature-
Galvin Green, the premium hi-tech golf apparel brand, is inviting PGA Show attendees to play the iconic 18th hole of The Old Course at St Andrews in virtual reality when discovering the latest DRYVR™ waterproof collection at booth #6557 in the Apparel Pavilion.
From its 30% larger stand, the brand is offering visitors the chance to try on the latest top-performing bluesign® approved waterproof jackets while wearing a VR headset to fully experience the superior stretch and flexibility provided by the pioneering garments when teeing off on the ‘Tom Morris’ hole at The Home of Golf.
Thanks to a special visual creation from GOLF+, the leading VR golf game on the Meta Quest platform, rain will be falling before a player’s eyes to make the Galvin Green experience as realistic as possible, while a nearest the pin competition will add an element of competition among PGA Show attendees.
“We’re really excited about all of the amazing new products that we’ll be unveiling in Orlando and especially the spectacular interactive VR dimension,” said Lou Delfino, General Manager for the brand in North America. “Those visiting our booth will be able to appreciate the market leading technical benefits offered by Galvin Green, while having the opportunity to play one of the most famous holes in golf in simulated wet weather conditions! We encourage those attending the PGA Show to visit our stand to avoid missing out on something special,” he added.
GOLF+ launched its latest game featuring the world-famous closing hole at St Andrews in November and exclusively added the rain dimension to coincide with the extension of the 100% waterproof DRYVR™ product offering, which comes at a time when many of the world’s most popular golfing destinations have reported record levels of rainfall at unseasonal times. These include parts of Florida, New York, California, Hawaii, Canada, Australia, Scotland and Ireland. Even the 2023 Masters, an event normally basking in Spring sunshine, proved one of the wettest tournaments on record.
Available in sizes ranging up to 5XL, the men’s DRYVR™ collection comprises nine waterproof jacket styles headlined by the striking AMES full zip jacket crafted using an all-new 3-layer fabric to deliver the most stretch ever from a Galvin Green waterproof jacket. The matching ALAN pants come in up to 17 different size options across waist and leg lengths.
Women golfers can choose from three stylish waterproof jackets, spearheaded by the AMY in three stylish colour combinations, plus two pairs of pants including the new ANGIE style.
