GALVIN GREEN WINS MEDIA AWARD FOR 5TH STRAIGHT YEAR
-‘Best Golf Raingear’ accolade stays with industry-leading apparel brand-
Leading high-performance golf apparel brand Galvin Green has been credited with a coveted Golf DigestEditors’ Choice award for the fifth successive year, as its flagship waterproof garments are named among the best golf products of 2020.
America’s No.1 golf magazine – reaching more than 14m golfers on its various media platforms – selected two of the standout garments from this year’s premium Galvin Green Part One collection in its ‘Best Golf Raingear’ award category.
Designed by golfers for golfers, the ARCHIE jacket in GORE-TEX stretch fabric with a C-KNIT™ backer and matching AXEL pants were chosen as the perfect combination to keep golfers dry when playing in wet weather conditions. Both garments are 100% waterproof, highly breathable and offer a GORE-TEX lifetime guarantee. They’re also produced from fabric approved by bluesignâ, the global standard for environmentally-friendly textile manufacturing.
This latest accolade for Galvin Green waterproof garments comes a year after the revolutionary, ultra-lightweight SHAKEDRYä jacket (ASHTON) was selected by Golf Digest on the same basis, along with the ever-popular AXEL pants.

Galvin Green garments also took Editor’s Choice selections for the third consecutive year at Golf Monthly, Europe’s leading multimedia golf brand. The new shell layer APOLLO jacket in GORE-TEX Paclite™ Technology stretch fabric was chosen, along with the warm layer DIXON sweater made from the softest ever INSULA™ fabric. While in its 2020 awards, the UK’s most popular monthly magazine, Today’s Golfer,nominated the LINCOLN half-zip jacket – the INTERFACE-1ä garment designed to wear 95 out of 100 rounds.

The new ARCHIE full-zip jacket features waterproof GORE-TEX Superstretch inserts on the back and elbows; adjustable chest, collar width and cuffs; elastic drawstring at the hem; water-repellent zippers; front pockets and shaped sleeves for easy movement throughout the swing. Totally windproof, it also incorporates the innovative smooth ‘slide & glide’ inner material, plus the shoulders are reinforced with extremely durable Techsteel™ fabric to handle abrasion when carrying a golf bag. Carbon printed zippers and print gives the jacket a seriously smart look. There are three colour options in sizes S-3XL at a RRP of $700.
New AXEL pants in Black feature the same super smooth C-KNIT™ fabric texture that make them easy to ‘slide & glide’ over garments underneath. They come in a total of 16 different size options and include an elasticated waist and drawstring for the perfect fit. Features include adjustable leg width; front pockets with fleece lining; two back pockets; a zipper fly opening with water-repellent zippers; and extra abrasion resistant fabric at the leg hem.
