-Waterproof golf apparel in high demand during period of wet weather on the East Coast-
Galvin Green, the premium high-tech golf apparel brand, has witnessed a 25% rise in repeat orders of its award-winning waterproof collection over the last two/three months, coinciding with the recent unprecedented wet weather playing conditions sweeping across the East Coast.
The increased demand for Galvin Green waterproof garments has corresponded with above average levels of rainfall experienced by golfers playing at high-end courses in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, New Hampshire and Rhode Island, where some have seen a month’s worth of rainfall in the space of hours – including two inches per hour in some areas.
“We’ve seen a substantial increase in demand for our 100% waterproof products at green grass retail outlets as a result of the recent weather conditions, particularly along the Eastern seaboard,” said Lou Delfino, General Manager of Galvin Green in North America. “Galvin Green has always been known to offer top quality waterproofs in terms of protection from the elements, flexibility and breathability – and now many more golfers can retain their passion for golf no matter the weather that comes their way,” he added.
Among the current top performers in the Galvin Green GORE-TEX waterproof collection are the ALISTERand ARMSTRONG jackets and the matching ANDY and ARTHUR pants. They come as part of an extensive collection that includes 42 jackets and pant options for men, 23 for women golfers, and eight for junior players. The jackets are available in a wide range of sizes up to 5XL, while the pants offer as many as 15 different size options across waist and leg lengths.
Both jackets featured in the top four of the recent MyGolfSpy ‘Best Rain Gear 2023’ test ratings, with special reference to their 100% waterproofing and extreme breathability, as well as adjustable tabs for optimum comfort and freedom of movement to maximize performance on the course.
Galvin Green also offers the greatest depth of sustainable golf garments and was awarded the Sports Technology Award for Sustainability in 2021 for introducing pullovers made from recycled plastic bottles in its INSULA™ line.
As weather continues in its unpredictability, Galvin Green remain the market leader in heavy weather apparel for protection and performance.
