Former General Manager of Winged Foot brings 30+ years experience and an expansive network of contacts to GGA’s Executive Search Practice
West Palm Beach, FL – GGA Partners, an international consulting firm to leading private clubs, resorts, and residential communities, announced today that Colin Burns, CCM, former General Manager of Winged Foot Golf Club, has joined the firm as a Director.
In his role, Burns will focus on expanding the firm’s Executive Search services, utilizing his vast network of contacts to strategically find and place management-level talent. Once the placement is complete, Colin’s more than 30 years of experience in strategy and operations planning, club management, leadership development and coaching will ensure candidates and their clubs are in the best position to succeed.
Burns is a seasoned club professional who has served in several senior leadership positions. Since mid-2022, Colin served as COO to the Ownership Group and management team of APOGEE, a high-end private facility in Florida. Previously, he spent 30 years as General Manager of Winged Foot Golf Club in New York, hosting two US Opens, a PGA Championship, a US Amateur, and a USGA Four-Ball Championship.
