Incentive program for club pros and instructors to participate
WASHINGTON DC. – Glover Park Golf, a tournament organizer and event company since 2009, will launch its national golf tournament series for players of all skill levels beginning September 25, 2021. With the vision of creating the “Peloton” competition for golf, Glover Park Golf has created a mobile app where golfers will be able to track net scores on a live national leaderboard and compete against friends, and other golfers across the nation, on any course of their choice on a GPG tournament day.
The company is looking for club professionals and instructors to participate along with their fellow players and students to help grow the series nationwide. The national champion of the tournament series to be crowned at Hammock Beach Resort, in Palm Coast on December 11,2021, will win a playing spot in the Pro-am at the 2022 Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.
Each pro will receive $50 for each student that registers and students will receive 15% off their individual membership. There are many opportunities to connect and engage with students and players through the GPG app in real time during the tournament days. Teaching professionals can monitor their players results and provide talking points for what to work on at the next lesson improve their skills in competition. Through this network of amateur golfers and one day events nationwide, pros can also identify new students who might be in need lessons.
“We believe our nationwide tournament series will provide a fun new way for teaching pros to engage and connect with their students,” said Jonathan Leon, co-founder of Glover Park Golf, “Our goal is to create this incredible platform for players all over the country to compete on any course of their choosing (just like being on your Peloton bike at home), to grow the game and make it more fun.
Our custom app allows us to manage this and we intend to compensate pros to help us build our network.”
Pros are asked to play one round on a tournament day and keep your hole-by-hole score in the official GPG mobile app available in Apple and Google Play stores. It’s easy to sign up for GPG’s ambassador program, https://gloverparkgolf.com/pages/ambassador-program. Each pro will receive a discount code to send out to their mailing list of players and students.
“GPG tournaments are designed to increase rounds and lessons at the local level,” Leon added. “We want to create an atmosphere where club pros will take pride in recruiting players to participate and represent their club while compensating them for being ambassadors and creating more bottom-line revenue.
GPG’s inaugural 2021 season will consist of five tournaments with winners receiving tour quality trophies and other prizes. In addition, prizes will be given out at the end of every tournament to randomly picked participants regardless of score.
