GIRLS-ONLY GOLF ACADEMY HIRES LAUREN S. TASHMAN

Ray Travaglione, the Founder of the first All-Girls Junior Golf Academy, announces Dr. Lauren S. Tashman as the Mental Training Director for the young female golfers at the G2 Golf Academy.

“We are pleased to add Lauren to our team at G2, her professionalism, passion for sports and desire to develop student-athletes falls directly into place with our mission. Lauren brings a proven unique and creative style of implementation to maximize student-athlete focus” states Travaglione.

Dr. Lauren S. Tashman, CMPC© is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC©) with the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) based in New York City, providing mental performance coaching, leadership advising, and team/company culture consultation to clients worldwide.  Lauren brings a unique perspective and knowledge base to the student-athletes at G2, helping them use their minds to their advantage in order to maximize their performance and develop and hone their skills, including their leadership skills.

Lauren has worked for over 10 years with a variety of sports, such as golf, softball, baseball, gymnastics, soccer, rowing, swimming and diving, tennis, basketball, and volleyball at a variety of levels including youth, collegiate, recreational, professional, and national/Olympic. In addition, she provides supervision/mentoring for individuals pursuing AASP CMPC© and is the Mental Performance Coach for Canada’s Women’s National Softball Team.

“I am elated and honored to being working with the G2 Academy and young female golfers. I can’t wait to share my knowledge, empower these young women through mental game and leadership training, and watch them grow and develop on and off the course.   The G2 Academy stands out and grabbed my attention; we’ve moved the needle on women’s equality in sport, but are still having to work to level the playing field and provide access and resources for women to get involved and excel. By focusing solely on girls, G2 takes your traditional sports academy and creates a safe and optimal environment for junior female golfers, and adds in much needed components of Leadership and Empowerment.  Young women need supportive programs like this as they navigate their sport experiences and lives” states Tashman.

About The G2 Academy:

Based in Bluffton, South Carolina, The G2 Golf Academy will provide world-class golf instruction, an accredited academic schedule with small class sizes and AP Classes, mental training to help achieve specific, individualized goals, and a female-specific fitness program including nutrition planning. The program will also include special curriculum promoting female empowerment, leadership, and community involvement. The Academy will focus on the development of young women on and off the golf course.

The girls-only academy will launch with junior golf camps in Summer 2019 and the Full-Time Academy program will be accepting students for the Fall 2019 term.
