“We’ve all heard the joke that everyone has a podcast,” said co-host Connor Evers, PGA. “But with Golf and the Good Life, there’s a niche that we are uniquely suited to fill.”
Although iTunes lists hundreds of podcasts in the golf category alone, identifying that niche proved rather easy.
“There are plenty of golf podcasts that sometimes talk about travel, and there are golf travel podcasts that cover every destination on the globe,” added Evers. “But few, if any, are dedicated to the bucket-list places that most American golfers want to visit overseas: Scotland, Ireland, and England.”
It just so happens those are the destinations, along with Spain, that Haversham & Baker has served since 1991.
“We see Golf and the Good Life as just another way for us to be a trusted guide to the golf travel community,” said Evers’ co-host, Daniel Jones. “Whether it’s through our social media channels, our in-depth golf travel guides and videos, or our downloadable e-books, we’ve never shied away from freely sharing our expertise. This new podcast is no exception.”
At Haversham & Baker, Golf and the Good Life is more than a slogan. It provides the foundation to the company’s approach to golf travel.
“When we were selecting the title for the show, there was really only one option,” said Evers. “Golf and the Good Life represents our steadfast belief that your time off the golf course is just as important to your overall experience on the trip as your time on it. We’ll aim to feature elements of both in every episode.”
Golf and the Good Life is available on all of the major podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Google Podcasts. The first two episodes featuring the great links golf courses in Northwest Ireland are available now.
