FRISCO, Texas — The Golf Clubs at The Tribute, a premier, semi-private 36-hole golf facility in The Colony, Texas, has named PGA Professional Spencer Dillard as its new Director of Golf. Dillard was selected following a comprehensive national executive search conducted in partnership with ExecuSearch, powered by the PGA of America.
A native of McKinney, Texas, Dillard graduated from Sam Houston State University’s PGA Golf Management Program in 2019. He joined Preston Trail Golf Club as an Assistant Golf Professional in 2020 and was promoted to Head Golf Professional in 2025. His experience also includes roles at highly regarded venues across the country, including The Club at Las Campanas, Hudson National Golf Club, Blessings Golf Club, and GlenArbor Golf Club. An accomplished player, Dillard received the Northern Texas PGA Section’s “Player of the Year” award in 2024 and has qualified for several PGA Professional Championships.
In his new role, Dillard will lead all golf operations across the 36-hole property. His responsibilities include managing recruitment, staff development and retail operations; overseeing golf instruction and tournament execution; and collaborating closely with the agronomy, events, and food & beverage teams to enhance the overall player and member experience.

Situated along the shores of Lake Lewisville, Golf Clubs at The Tribute features two distinct 18-hole courses, The Tribute and Old American. Old American hosted a U.S. Open Local Qualifier in 2014 and the LPGA Tour’s Ascendant LPGA benefiting Volunteers of America from 2018 through 2023. Both courses are regularly ranked among the top courses in the state by The Dallas Morning News and GolfPass. The club also boasts an active and robust membership, with options for both golf and social experiences.
