Golf Genius will now assist golf facilities in organizing leagues, recruiting players and managing all aspects of league rounds
WAYNE, Pa. – Golf Genius Software, Inc. announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Twilight Golf Association (TGA) and expects to close the transaction in January 2022. TGA is a recreational golf association that assists golf facilities in organizing evening golf leagues, primarily at daily fee and municipal golf courses.
Founded by Nick Conrad in 2018, TGA is making a profound impact on the golf landscape by managing tens of thousands of league rounds across the United States. With the tagline, ‘A friendly association to play recreation golf,’ each league plays a standardized format open to men and women of all ability levels. This widespread appeal has helped TGA grow rapidly since the association was founded.
The key benefit for golf facilities is that a league requires virtually no attention from course staff. A team of TGA league coordinators handle week-to-week management of every league, including forming teams, reserving tee times, and setting up live scoring and leaderboards each week of the season. Furthermore, golf courses benefit by collecting 100% of their green fees along with increased food & beverage sales.
TGA is a membership-driven association that requires a registration entry fee to join each season. Membership dues guarantee tee times for every player and include other benefits such as discounts at golf equipment and apparel retailers, and an annual subscription to Golf Digest Magazine.

Nick Conrad
Conrad, who serves as the company’s CEO, remarked, “Everything is focused on breaking down the barriers to entry to make golf a sport that everyone can participate in. Every community should have access to organized golf in this way.”
“We have been using Golf Genius to manage our leagues since I founded the company. It was the most meaningful investment made into the business, as it would have been impossible to service hundreds of leagues every week without the automation tools of Golf Genius – it is the only tournament management system available that explicitly supports golf leagues, with all of the nuances required to successfully manage a league.”
Golf Genius Software is by far the largest global provider of tournament management software and is used by over 10,000 golf facilities in over 60 countries, as well as state and regional golf associations, national associations and professional tours. With the acquisition of the Twilight Golf Association, Golf Genius will be in a position to provide managed services to existing customers, and to other facilities that seek assistance in managing golf leagues. Along with Conrad, the entire Twilight Golf Association team will be joining Golf Genius, which will operate as a division of Golf Genius and maintain the TGA brand.
Mike Zisman, Co-CEO of Golf Genius, commented, “Golf leagues are a core part of the golf ecosystem and drive rounds at both public facilities and private clubs. Golf league play accounted for almost 35% of the 28 million rounds managed by Golf Genius during the past 12 months. We’ve known Nick and his team for some time as power users of Golf Genius, and we’re thrilled that his team will be joining us. Moving forward, we will be able to provide not only the software to manage leagues, but also a managed service to market, organize and manage leagues for facilities that need assistance, particularly in today’s very tight labor market.”
