Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Golf Heritage Society (GolfHeritage.org) will exhibit for the first time at this year’s African American Golf Expo & Forum. The Expo, which celebrates diversity in the sport and business of golf, will be held Aug. 19-22, in Louisville, Ky.
“The GHS looks forward to participating in this year’s Expo,” said Dr. Bern Bernacki, president of the Society. “We honor the many and significant contributions of African Americans to golf through the years.”
Board member Charlene Williams will join other members of the Society’s leadership team to greet visitors at its booth. A highly-decorated 26-year U.S. Navy veteran, Williams has worked on the PGA Show’s Diversity and Inclusion Roundtable Forum and numerous other initiatives dedicated to helping individuals thrive through golf.
Jim Beatty, the Founder and Organizer of the Expo, is a member of the Golf Heritage Society and the African American Golfers Hall of Fame. He is the executive editor of African American Golfer’s Digest and CEO of Jim Beatty Golf Ventures.
