[Ridgefield, CT] – Current athletes and alums from The Golf Performance Academy and The Golf Performance Center in Ridgefield, Conn. achieved impressive results in July, securing top finishes in prestigious tournaments and championships.
Whether at The Academy or the GPC, junior golfers and their coaches leverage the Player Development Index to discover, develop, and track the leading factors that contribute to long term success, including physical performance, golf skills, and the mental game.
Highlights from July:
- Arabella Lopez: Placed 3rd in the Connecticut Women’s Amateur Championship, and was the low junior for the tournament. She also placed 3rd in the Connecticut Women’s Junior Amateur Championship.
- Tyler Vitolo: Tied for 1st with a 68 (4 under par) and qualified for the 122nd MetPGA Amateur Championship, August 1 – 4 at Somerset Hills CC in Bernardsville, NJ.
- Angelo Martinez: Won the New Mexico West Texas Junior Amateur Championship, shooting 66 (6 under). The win gives Angelo exempt status for AJGA events. Also finished runner up at the Notah Begay III New Mexico regional qualifier (4 under).
- Griffin Lawlor: Won the NB3 Connecticut regional qualifier, shooting a 2nd round score of 69 (3 under) to secure the win and a spot in the NB3 National Championship at Koasati Pines Golf Club in November.
- Maximiliano Santander: Placed 2nd in the HJGT Hartford Junior Open, shooting a PR 63 (5 under). Also finished 2nd in a playoff for the Under Armour Junior World Championships (7 under).
- Will Giaquinto: Tied for 2nd in the AJGA FM Global Championship in Chicopee, MA. He came out of the gates hot, posting a 1st round score of a bogey-free 63 (8 under).
- Kyle Beaudry: Won the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour Hartford Summer Junior Open. Finished 2nd at NB3 CT regional qualifier. Placed 3rd in the Champions Tour Classic at Fox Hopyard Golf Club.
- Elijah Salazar: Tied for 12th in the New Mexico West Texas Junior Amateur Championship.
