Golf VX to Host The Creator Cup During Presidents Cup Week

September 18, 2026

Chicago-area golf creators to compete in a team event at Golf VX Arlington Heights on September 24

CHICAGO, Ill. – Golf VX will bring together many of Chicago’s leading golf content creators for The Creator Cup, a team competition taking place Thursday, September 24, at Golf VX Arlington Heights.

Held as the golf world turns its attention to the Chicago area for the Presidents Cup at Medinah Country Club, Golf VX will showcase the city’s growing and influential golf creator community through an immersive competition combining golf, content and hospitality. The invitational will feature 44 Chicago-area creators competing across 11 teams. Each captain will assemble a roster through a live draft, adding strategy, personality and anticipation before the teams enter Golf VX’s simulator bays for the competition.

“The Presidents Cup presents an incredible opportunity to celebrate golf in Chicago, and we wanted to create an event that brings together the people helping shape how the game is experienced and shared locally,” said Kyu Choi, Golf VX Founder and CEO. “The Creator Cup will combine spirited competition with the energy and camaraderie that define the Chicago golf community, all within an environment designed for exceptional golf and hospitality.”

In partnership with The 312 Invitational, named in recognition of Chicago’s iconic 312 area code, the event will provide creators with a platform to compete, collaborate and produce original content during one of the most prominent weeks on the 2026 golf calendar. The live draft will reveal the complete team lineups ahead of the competition, with additional information on captains, participants, and event programming to be announced.

“We’re incredibly excited to host The Creator Cup at Golf VX Arlington Heights during such a special week for golf in Chicago,” said Noel. “With the Presidents Cup bringing tremendous energy and attention to the city, this event gives us an opportunity to celebrate Chicago’s vibrant golf community and bring many of its most creative voices together for a memorable day of competition, camaraderie and fun.”

The event will also demonstrate Golf VX’s ability to accommodate large-scale competitions and private gatherings. The Arlington Heights venue pairs advanced simulator technology with elevated food and beverage offerings and a social, group-friendly atmosphere, creating an experience that extends well beyond the simulator bay.

Golf VX simulators use high-speed ball-tracking technology to capture and analyze each shot in real time. Dynamic swing plates automatically adjust to replicate uphill, downhill and uneven lies, while automatic teeing, touchscreen controls, immersive course graphics and a global library of courses help deliver smooth, realistic gameplay. Players also receive detailed swing and ball-flight data that can be used for practice, instruction and performance analysis.

The hospitality-focused Golf VX Lounge concept complements the technology with comfortable gathering spaces and full-service food and beverage, allowing guests to compete, watch the action and connect throughout the experience. The combination makes Golf VX equally suited for serious practice, casual play, leagues, corporate outings and special events such as The Creator Cup.

The Creator Cup will take place on the opening day of Presidents Cup competition at Medinah Country Club, which will host the international team event September 24–27. Additional details surrounding the live draft, team captains, participating creators and competition format will be announced in the coming weeks.
