The first interactive golf gift guide of its kind lets golfers save products, build a wishlist and drop a hint to the person doing the buying. Brands can list in minutes and reach 500,000 golfers through four dedicated holiday email promotions, with listings live through December 31.
CARLSBAD, Calif. – GolfGrade, the review and discovery marketplace for emerging golf brands, today opened The Ultimate Golf Gift Guide to brands of every size. It is the most comprehensive golf gift guide of the season and the first interactive one of its kind. For the first time, companies can add their own products directly through a self-serve brand portal and put them in front of golfers who are actively shopping for gifts.
Holiday gift buying is when golfers are most open to trying a brand they haven’t bought from before. They’re shopping for a spouse, a parent or a playing partner, and they want ideas that feel new. Last year’s GolfGrade gift guide drew roughly 16,000 clicks from golfers browsing for exactly that.
This year GolfGrade rebuilt the guide from the ground up. It runs as an interactive page on GolfGrade.com where golfers can filter by category and price, browse gifts for him and her, and find stocking stuffers, all in one place. GolfGrade will promote the guide to 500,000 golfers in four dedicated email sends this season, with ongoing promotion in between.
The first interactive golf gift guide of its kind
Most holiday gift guides are a static blog post or a one-time email. A golfer scrolls, closes the tab, and the products are forgotten by the time anyone is ready to buy. The Ultimate Golf Gift Guide is built to keep a product in play from the first browse to the final purchase, through three features that drive real engagement:
- Save. Golfers tap the heart on any gift to save it while they browse, so a brand’s product stays with them instead of disappearing with a closed tab.
- Wishlist. Saved picks build into a personal wishlist that GolfGrade emails back to the golfer, with the option to get deal alerts and shipping reminders on those items. The product returns to their inbox during the weeks when gift decisions actually get made.
- Drop a Hint. With one tap, the golfer sends their wishlist, links included, to a spouse, child or friend by text or email. The product lands in front of the person holding the credit card, with the golfer’s own recommendation attached.
For brands, that means one listing gets three chances to turn into a sale: the browse, the reminder and the hint. It also reaches gift buyers who would never open a golf email on their own. Last year’s static guide drove about 16,000 clicks. With these tools keeping products top of mind between sends, GolfGrade anticipates three times that engagement this season.
Reach golfers without building a campaign from scratch
Most smaller golf brands don’t have the list size or the budget to run a full holiday email program. The gift guide gives them a seat at the table. A brand uploads its product, image and link through the portal, and the listing stays live through December 31.
Two options are available, with the $400 entry price offered for a limited time:
- Basic listing, $400 for a limited time. Your product in the guide for the full season, ready to be saved, wishlisted and hinted, and seen by every golfer the four email promotions send to the page.
- Featured listing, $650. Prominent placement on the page plus inclusion in the dedicated gift guide email itself.
Each edition of the guide holds 12 brand spots, so placement is limited. Brands that want a larger push can also request a dedicated holiday email to GolfGrade’s audience through the same portal.
“Every year we hear from good brands with great products who simply missed the holiday window because a full campaign felt out of reach,” said Ed Sanchez, founder of GolfGrade and Golf Pulp Media. “So we built a way in. For $400, for a limited time, you’re in front of half a million golfers at the moment they’re looking for something to give. Now, the wishlist and hint tools keep your product working long after that first click. That’s the kind of exposure that used to take a much bigger commitment.”
How to get started
Brands can view the guide, choose a listing and upload their product at GolfGrade.com/marketing. Listings go live as soon as they’re approved, and the $400 entry price is only available for a limited time, so brands that book now lock in the rate and get the most time in front of holiday shoppers.
