Moody Gardens Will Incorporate Futuristic SmartPlay Technology, Ensuring Safe and Seamless Experience for Golfers
ORLANDO, Fla. – A partnership announced today between GolfNow and Moody Gardens Golf Course will provide this premier Texas public course with new “smart” technologies and services designed to better meet the customer service and safety demands of today’s golfer.
Now featured within the GolfNow platform, Moody Gardens will benefit from the industry’s leading tee-time booking engine technology, as well as inclusion within the world’s largest distribution marketplace. With Moody Gardens resort and attraction area located nearby in the coastal town of Galveston, Moody Gardens Golf Course features 18 holes of golf that have been chosen by Golf Advisor users as one of the top-10 best courses in Texas for seven consecutive years.
The partnership is highlighted by the adoption of GolfNow’s SmartPlay technology found within its best-selling G1 golf course management platform. SmartPlay runs through the GolfNow app and allows a golfer to search for, book and pay for a tee time in advance. A variety of additional features will be introduced automatically into the technology over time, with no extra work or time required from the golf course operator.
“The staff at Moody Gardens Golf Course are extremely excited to begin using GolfNow’s G1 golf course management platform,” said General Manager Steve Yarotsky. “We believe that all the features that G1 has to offer will enhance our customer’s overall experience.”
John Bohannon, Manager of Golf Operations, concurred. “The improved experience starts with allowing for the convenience of booking and paying all online, which makes the check-in process much more efficient,” he said.
Moody Gardens also is leveraging a full complement of GolfNow’s industry leading technology and services in addition to the wide-ranging exposure to the millions of golfers who search for and book tee times through GolfNow:
· G1 – GolfNow’s most-advanced business management platform, which can combine all software and operating systems utilized by a golf course facility into one platform. Tee sheet, point-of-sale, social media, employee schedules, inventory, payroll, vendor relations, and more can be controlled from an internet-connected smartphone or tablet – from anywhere, anytime.
· GolfNow Payments – Allows a golf course operator to seamlessly integrate online, phone and in-person payments with the course’s point-of-sale system. With that full integration, the processing of payments requires only one vendor, accepting every payment any customer makes, no matter when or where.
“Moody Gardens has taken an important step toward providing a better customer experience,” said Dan Burquist, GolfNow National Director of Sales. “GolfNow’s cutting-edge technology not only will help them become a more efficient business overall, but also will free up valuable time they normally spend on management functions to, instead, devote that time to the needs of their golfers to create some amazing experiences.”
