ORLANDO, Fla. (May 16, 2018) – GolfNow and Chronogolf today announced a multi-faceted partnership that will facilitate the seamless integration of their technology platforms, enabling golf course operators to better connect with golfers.
The partnership will allow Montreal-based Chronogolf to distribute their tee times via GolfNow’s industry-leading platform, provide cross-marketing of their respective technologies and service offerings, and further expand GolfNow’s distribution platform internationally.
More than 500 golf courses currently use Chronogolf’s innovative operational software, which is available in both English and French languages, as well as Spanish and Italian. GolfNow and Chronogolf are now offering the integration to their mutual golf course partners.
GolfNow is building partnerships across a global industry to strengthen technology offerings to better serve golfers and golf courses, ultimately, making golf more easily accessible to those that play the game and the millions interested in taking up the sport. This partnership with Chronogolf is one of several similar partnerships GolfNow is announcing this week.
“Integrating Chronogolf’s capabilities into the GolfNow platform is another example of how we’re building partnerships across the industry to strengthen technology offerings to better serve golfers and our mutual golf course customers,” said Will McIntosh, executive vice president, Strategy, Golf Channel. “Chronogolf is one of the fastest-growing companies providing innovative technology to golf courses and will be an important partner with GolfNow’s operations in Canada and Europe.”
“Used by millions of golfers throughout the world, GolfNow has built the ultimate marketing and distribution platform for golf course partners to distribute their available tee times,” said J.D. St. Martin, Chronogolf co-founder and CEO. “Our strategy has always been to integrate with the best of breed solutions to provide a complete suite of tools to our course partners. We know how important it is for them to generate rounds and revenue through GolfNow, and with this integration, our course partners now have the opportunity to sync their tee-time availability with GolfNow’s website and mobile applications, making it easier for rounds and revenue to flow through.”
As part of this new relationship, Chronogolf will help on-board its current course partners to GolfNow’s marketing platform and its innovative GolfNow Plus program, now used by more than 1,000 golf courses for online tee-time management, brand strategy and marketing execution.
“With its recent growth, talented team and cloud-based technology that serves both the English-, French-, Spanish-, and Italian-speaking operator, Chronogolf is a great complement to our suite of products,” said Jeff Foster, senior vice president, GolfNow. “Partnerships like this help us provide the best technology solutions possible to support our course partners’ unique needs, ultimately, saving them valuable time and increasing rounds and revenue.”
More than 8,000 golf courses around the world have chosen GolfNow as their preferred partner. They are able to benefit from GolfNow’s leading technology, support and marketing services – which have facilitated more than 32 million rounds of golf over the last two years – to increase operating efficiency and allow more staff time to dedicate to customer service.
Coinciding with the growing trend of tee times being booked via online sources and mobile apps, recent studies by the National Golf Foundation reveal the number of people interested in taking up golf has nearly doubled over the past five years. The NGF also has reported that GolfNow users tend to play golf more often and play a variety of new courses each year as a result of using GolfNow.
