GolfPass will Amplify Via NBC Sports Next Social Media Platforms the Contributions of the Rapidly Growing Contingent of Women in Golf
ORLANDO, Fla. – NBC Sports Next’s GolfPass will recognize women’s contributions to golf, both on and off the golf course, through “Celebrating Women in Golf,” an award-winning and innovative social media campaign launching today and extending through Women’s History Month.
Every facet of golf will be featured during the GolfPass annual campaign, now in its third year, created to showcase the unique and powerful women fueling and steering the sport. From women pros, amateurs and recreational golfers to the industry professionals who drive the business of golf, “Celebrating Women in Golf” will amplify their stories through customized content across all NBC Sports Next social media handles.
“By shedding light on a frequently overlooked group, we hope to reach and engage with this growing and diverse group of women in the sport,” said Nicole Roach, vice president of marketing, NBC Sports Next. “We want to recognize and thank all the wonderful women who helped us with this important project.”
Elements of the campaign will include a variety of video vignettes, live interviews, takeovers, editorial features, and promotion of LPGA tournaments airing on the networks of NBC Sports, as well as shows available to stream on GolfPass. Several Instagram takeovers will feature collegiate golfers participating in NBC Sports’ Athletes Direct NIL program.
Highlights include:
- Spotlights of LPGA tournament champions, as well as golf course operators and their staff.
- Video features of LPGA Tour pros, including Celine Boutier, Charley Hull, Jennifer Kupcho, Anna Nordqvist, and more.
- Live weekly interviews on Instagram, hosted by Boston University Women’s Golf team alumnus and current GolfNow Senior Marketing Manager Christine Silen. Debuting today, Silen will welcome golf instructor Debbie Doniger, host the upcoming Build a Better Game: Swing Checkpoints, which begins streaming March 7 on GolfPass.
- Weekly Instagram takeovers by NCAA women golfers, including Faith Choi (Ohio State); Becca Tschetter (Grand Canyon); Elina Sinz (Auburn); and more.
