DENVER, CO – GOLFTEC, the world leader in golf lessons and premium club fittings, is excited to announce Wisconsin-based Franchise Owner and long-time Coach, Brendan Locke has been selected for the 2023-’24 PGA LEAD Class, as announced by the PGA of America last week.
Locke adds this prestigious recognition to a long list of achievements throughout his career, including the Wisconsin PGA Section Professional Development Award in 2021, the Wisconsin Teacher of the Year Award in 2012, the WPGA Bill Straughsbaugh Award in 2018, and being named to the Golf Digest Top Teachers in America List in 2013-2014 and 2017-2018, as well as GOLFTEC Regional Manager of the Year in 2007.
Established in 2016, PGA LEAD is the Association’s leadership development program designed to identify, mentor, and progress PGA Members from diverse backgrounds along a guided path to volunteer leadership roles at the Chapter, Section, and National levels of the Association. This 18-month leadership development program reinforces the PGA of America’s commitment to creating a game, workforce, and industry supply chain that better mirrors America’s demographics, with a focus on inclusive governance, environments, systems, and structures that create opportunities for all PGA Professionals to develop, grow and lead.
Locke has been with GOLFTEC for 20 years as a Coach and Franchise Owner in Wisconsin. With his extensive experience in the golf industry, Locke has demonstrated a strong commitment to his profession, his community, and his colleagues. He is excited about the opportunity to participate in the PGA LEAD program and contribute to the Association’s mission of promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the sport.
