GOLFTEC Names Jeremy Beck Chief Operations Officer, Jon Marquardt Chief Financial Officer
GOLFTEC – the world leader in golf lessons and premium club fittings – announces Jeremy Beck and Jon Marquardt have been promoted to the positions of chief operations officer (COO) and chief financial officer (CFO), respectively.
Marquardt has been with GOLFTEC for eight years, playing a crucial role in business development. A graduate of University of Colorado – Boulder with an MBA from Denver University, he spent much of his career in the construction industry before transitioning to golf. The company has seen monumental growth under Marquardt’s guidance, as it now operates more than 200 state-of-the-art instruction and club fitting centers around the globe.
“I was attracted to GOLFTEC because it was a powerful brand with a small company attitude,” says Marquardt. “Our savvy maneuvering and new partnerships have set us up to continue to define the market for golf instruction and club fitting.”
Beck was always destined to be in the golf industry. Growing up in Cascade, Iowa, he obtained a degree in professional golf management from Ferris State University. Soon after college, he became an instructor at GOLFTEC and was named “Coach of the Year” in 2001 and “Manager of the Year” in 2005. In 2014, Beck transitioned to the corporate headquarters where he assumed the role of senior vice president.
“In my 17 years here, we have prided ourselves on hiring the absolute best coaches and training them to be experts on our fact-based, technologically-driven system, which is proven to help all players improve,” says Beck. “We will continue innovating and fulfilling our mission by offering dynamic, individualized plans tailored to our students’ strengths and weaknesses.”
GOLFTEC continues to establish itself as the world leader in golf improvement with more data on the golf swing than anyone else in the world, thanks to its award-winning SwingTRU Motion Study. The global GOLFTEC coaching team is comprised of experienced instructors that have graduated from GOLFTEC University – a multi-week certification program based around a curriculum of mastering advanced training of golf swing mechanics and GOLFTEC’s proprietary technology used in all Training Centers. The majority of GOLFTEC Certified Personal Coaches are PGA Professionals who have taught thousands of lessons.
Beyond its expertise in understanding and teaching swing mechanics, GOLFTEC has seen tremendous growth in golf club fitting and sales the past two years. Golf Digest recently honored 36 GOLFTEC Training Centers on its list of the “100 Best Club Fitters in America.” GOLFTEC’s comprehensive TECFIT® club fitting system provides a TOUR-like fitting experience by using the latest launch monitor technology and thousands of clubhead/shaft options to identify the optimal equipment for each golfer. On average, 75% of golfers who took a TECFIT driver fitting in 2018 gained 25 yards on their tee shots.
