SAN DIEGO, Calif. — StrackaLine, maker of golf’s premier greens guides, yardage books and hole location software is seeing a surge in golf courses ordering StrackaLine books for events or to sell out of their pro shop’s. The StrackaLine greens guides elevate the overall level of play at a course by reducing the number of putts and ultimately lowering scores. The greens guides provide additional value for the course and generate incremental revenue.
“I asked StrackaLine to come out to our club to scan our greens so that we could elevate the playing experience for our members by offering them the same books that are used by the PGA Tour players and the major D1 college golf teams”, said Newport Beach Country Club Director of Golf John McCook. “In my previous role as Director of Golf at The Santaluz Club in San Diego, we were strong supporters of StrackaLine and our members loved what StrackaLine had to offer.”
StrackaLine offers competitive bulk pricing for golf courses to be able to supply books to their members and guests. The also offer bulk pricing to golf associations or tournaments for them to supply books to the field for special events or tournaments.
“At StrackaLine, we want to help make the game better for golfers and everything we create is with that goal in mind,” company president Jim Stracka said. “Our greens guides and yardage books are helping improve pace of play and provide additional value to golfers by using our technology to lower their scores.”
The quality and accuracy of StrackaLine’s greens guides have led to widespread adoption on the PGA, LPGA, Symetra and Korn Ferry tours, in addition to their use by more than 300 Division I college teams. StrackaLine scans courses for $2,000 and that includes 100 greens guides for resale. The scanning process takes five hours to complete and is unobtrusive to the golfer experience.
The greens maps, which feature easy to read arrows, allow players to view contour and fall lines, in addition to slope percentage, anywhere on the green.
