On June 19, 2024 Visit Frisco hosted the first “Certified Golf Tournament Planner” Program for Corporate Meeting Panners. A group 20 Meeting Planners from around the country gathered in Frisco at the Omni PGA Frisco Resort. They spent 3 hours in educational sessions covering all aspects of hosting and producing all types of Golf Tournaments including: Pro Ams, Celebrity-Ams, Chairty Events, Corporate Events and Night Golf Tournamnets.
Topics covered were: Selling Sponsors, Recruiting Golfers, Finding Golf Courses, Formats, Games and Contests, Scoring options, hotels, food & beverage and more.
These meeting planners now Certified by the GTAA (Golf Tournament Associatin of America) and listed on the GTAA website. www.gtaaweb.org
