Haggin Oaks Golf Super Shop Marketing Team Runs Test Comparing Driver versus Its Counterfeit Counterpart
PING G400 Driver Is Tested Against A Counterfeit Version Of The Same Driver- Results Are What You’d Expect
3rd generation Morton Golf employee Taylor Morton took a break from studying engineering at the University of Nevada Reno to run some interesting club and ball tests for the Haggin Oaks Golf Super Shop and its online storefront, MortonGolfSales.com, over the winter holiday. One of those included running tests on comparing a PING G400 driver versus its counterfeit counterpart and measuring overall distance, ball RPM, ball speed, trajectory, dispersion, durability, sound and more. You can read the detailed results of the test HERE.
As we expected, the counterfeit head hits it far shorter, spins way more, has way more dispersion, sounds worse and doesn’t wear nearly as well. What’s cool is that now it’s all numerically verified as such and proven out analytically.
Future tests will include ball testing and wedge spin decay.
Managed by Morton Golf, the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex is located between Interstate 80 and Business 80 in Sacramento, 3645 Fulton Ave. The 36-hole golf course has a 15,000+ square foot store and its driving range has 100 stalls under lights.
