HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. – In a three-way playoff to decide the JM Eagle LA Championship, it was Australian Hannah Green who clinched the victory, securing her third LPGA title and first since 2019 with 12 Srixon/Cleveland Golf clubs in her bag and the Z-STAR DIAMOND golf ball.
Green started her final round T-2 and two back of the leader, before going bogey-free and carding a 2-under 69, including making a 25ft birdie putt on the 18th hole to get into the playoff. On the second playoff hole, Green safely hit the green leaving herself a mid-range birdie putt, while her opponent found trouble in the bunker. Green would go on to make par, to her opponent’s bogey, and finish the tournament at 9-under-par after four consecutive rounds in the 60’s.
“I’ve been close and have seen good results,” Green said. “That’s why we work so hard to be able to hoist a trophy and what that means. I feel like this is just going to kickstart remembering how to win, and this win honestly is just as big as the first two.”
Off the tee, Green hit all 14 fairways in the final round, and went 53/56 for the week using her Srixon ZX7 Mk II Driver. Using a combo set of Srixon ZX5/ZX7 Irons, Green hit 15/18 greens in regulation in the final round to keep a clean card. Green’s next tournament will be at the Hanwa Lifeplus International Crown, a 32 player team event, where Green will represent Australia.
