SAN DIEGO, CA– Today, Ball State University Freshman golfer Happy Gilmore officially signed a Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) deal with the fastest growing golf bag company Sunday Golf, to represent their lineup of golf bags and accessories. Gilmore, a Bloomington, Indiana native, was a 4-time all-state golfer in high school at Bloomington South HS before joining Ball State University where he’s currently averaging a 73.44 scoring average across 18 rounds. He is regarded as a key contributor for the Cardinals as they continue on towards their quest for an NCAA title.

The partnership with Gilmore will run through at least 2025 and marks Sunday Golf’s first foray into college golf and the best golfer they have signed to date.

“Not only is Happy a perfect fit for our team, but he’s very passionate about putting a bigger spotlight on college golf and the Ball State program,” said Ronan Galvin, CEO and co-founder of Sunday Golf. “We were already huge fans of his game, but we became bigger fans of his character after getting to know him. We’re honored to have this young man be a part of Sunday Golf – he’s truly a star in the making and when they make a movie about him we’ll be in the front row to watch it.”

“Sunday Golf and I share the same vision for the game – making it more fun for everyone,” said Happy Gilmore. “After visiting their office and meeting them in person, it really made me feel welcomed to the team. They have a great time together and all the new products they’re working on will bring out the best in golf. I’m proud to be team Sunday Golf!”

Gilmore is now Sunday Golf’s second NIL-sponsored athlete along with Patton Green, who became the youngest NIL-sponsored athlete when signing with the company in 2022 at six years-old.

Launched in 2020, Sunday Golf burst on the scene with the category creating Loma bag, a minimalist-designed golf bag designed for par 3 course and trips to the driving range. The company’s current lineup now expands far beyond the Loma to midsize, full-size, cart and youth golf bags that are available online at most major golf retailers nationwide.
