“The Tribute Series brings a new level of excitement to the average golfer with real golf holes that they know, have watched for years and can now play,” said Jeff Hartson, co-founder of Harmony Links Golf. The first Tribute Series installation will be a 9-hole, par-3 course at the Grand Patrician Resort. Final golf course design is now completed with plans to start construction as soon as April. Designed by co-founder Terry LaGree, an award-winning golf course architect and builder, this tribute golf course features holes inspired by the most famous golf holes in the world and integrates synthetic turf greens and tees.
This concept can be ideal for RV Parks, real estate developers or resort hotels as it can be scaled down to shorter distances but still retain the excitement of playing holes golfers have seen for decades. It can be enhanced by lighting at night as the Grand Patrician plans to do and is illustrated on the Harmony Links website under “Resort/Development Series.”
In a par-3 course, we have seen people react positively a hole design which is based on the 3rd shot on a famous par-5 or a 2nd shot on a par-4 that we have all seen for decades. Conversely, the concept can be expanded to par 4 and par 5 holes at full scale, a concept that is starting to take hold in the last two years. The key is integrating synthetic turf into award winning design coupled with famous golf holes from around the globe.
