Scottsdale, Ariz. – Heritage Shores Golf Club in Bridgeville, Delaware recently promoted Brooks Massey to general manager. Massey has been with the semi-private club since 2006, a few months prior to the course’s opening in 2007. Massey will oversee golf, food and beverage, agronomy, and sales and marketing for Heritage Shores.
Massey has 17-plus years of golf and hospitality industry experience. Prior to arriving at Heritage Shores, Massey broke into the golf industry at a 36-hole facility in Maryland. He joined the Heritage Shores team as a first assistant golf professional in 2006, before becoming head golf professional in 2011. In 2016, Massey was promoted to director of golf at Heritage Shores, and in 2021 added assistant general manager responsibilities.
“Brooks is an energetic and enthusiastic manager who builds service-focused teams,” said Justin Smith, regional director, operations, Troon. “His knowledge and relationships with the residents, members, and clients at Heritage Shores made him a natural fit for the general manager position.”
Massey has a Bachelor of Science degree from Wesley College in Dover, Delaware and is a Class-A Member of the PGA of America. Massey grew up in nearby Laurel, Delaware and has lived in the area his entire life.
Heritage Shores Golf Club is located in Heritage Shores, a 55+ active lifestyle community a short distance from nearby beach cities. The club’s Arthur Hills-designed golf course opened for play in 2007. The links-style course stretches more than 7,000 yards and plays to a par of 72. In addition to golf, the community features multiple dining options including Passwaters & 1730 Tavern, as well as the Sugar Beet, a golfer’s retreat for pre and post-round food and beverages.
