Approachable 9-hole course offers a relaxed, 90-minute golf experience for all skill levels
Austin, Tx. – The Hills Country Club, a premier golf and lifestyle destination in the Invited Clubs portfolio of properties, is pleased to announce the unveiling of The Cub, a brand-new 9-hole pitch & putt course. Designed around fun, family and community, the course is the latest milestone in an ongoing reinvestment project at the club focused on creating an inviting environment that best serves today’s members.
The Cub – a name inspired by the work of the legendary Jack Nicklaus, the “Golden Bear” who designed 36 holes at The Hills – was created with club members and their families top of mind. As member preferences evolve toward more flexible recreation, the short course reflects The Hills’ commitment to expanding its lifestyle offerings and creating casual, community-driven experiences alongside its championship golf facilities.
The new course offers a relaxed layout that can be completed in fewer than 90 minutes, with holes designed for short-game precision and casual play. The result is an engaging, low-pressure setting suited for players of all generations and skill levels.

The HIlls features four prestigious golf courses – The Signature Course, Flintrock Falls, Yaupon and Live Oak. Combined, they host several active men’s and women’s golf associations and feature a pair of premier driving ranges and 72 holes of outstanding championship Texas golf.
In addition to The Hills, Invited Clubs also owns and operates Westlake Country Club in the Austin area. Westlake also has been engaged in its own multi-year reinvestment project that has brought significant enhancements to its golf course, its bar, its pool deck and racquet sports area. The renovation of the club’s expansive Sports Club wrapped up earlier this summer.
