Hastings is the second Cayman Islands male to win the LAAC, following Aaron Jarvis four years prior.
Frenchman Bastien Amat, a New Mexico senior and All-Mountain West honoree who made the cut in the PGA TOUR’s 2023 Barracuda Championship, will defend his Burns’ individual title.
Illinois’ senior Jackson Buchanan, the 2024 Big Ten Golfer of the Year, is currently the tournament’s top-ranked player at No. 13.
New Mexico has produced seven Burns’ individual medalists. Cal has fashioned six.
