Honma TR21 Fairway Big-LB Review

The ULTIMATE Fairway Weapon?

The TR21 Big-LB blends classic design with modern technology in what is one of the longest three-woods in the game.

Better players seem to prefer a classic look. There’s just something about a simple, traditional shape that’s hard to beat. That’s exactly what you’ll find in the TR21 Big-LB. Combined with cutting edge materials and technology, this club delivers in every way possible.

When it comes to high-end golf equipment, you probably think of names like Titleist, Taylormade and Callaway. Sure, these are the big players in the golf manufacturing space who pay the world’s best players millions of dollars to play their equipment, and whose marketing budgets rival those of political campaigns.

With that said, there exists a number of lesser-known companies whose equipment is just as good, if not better than the so-called “big boys.” One such company is Honma. And specifically, their TR21 Big-LB fairway wood.

Designed for the world’s best players and the most discerning amateurs, this fairway wood is nothing short of brilliant. That’s reflected in expert craftsmanship and the incorporation of the finest materials and technology available.

Our Experience
I’ve known about the Honma brand for a while, but not much beyond its name and that Justin Rose and Ernie Els play the equipment.

It wasn’t until I got the TR-21 Big-LB in my hands that I realized what the hype was all about. This is one of the cleanest looking and best performing three-woods I’ve ever hit.

The stability of the shaft and head through impact is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. And the ball comes off the face hot, high, and with minimal spin. I hit this club so much further than my regular three-wood, it took some major adjusting to get used to.

This club won’t be leaving my bag anytime soon.
