(Westhampton, New York – May 15, 2018) — NHL Hall of Famer Grant Fuhr, winner of five Stanley Cups as the goalie for the Edmonton Oilers in the eighties, and avid golfer, will be recognized with the Sports Legend Honoree Award at the 20th Annual Ann Liguori Foundation Charity Golf Classic on Monday, June 4 at Atlantic Golf Club in Bridgehampton, N.Y. The popular tournament benefits cancer research and prevention.
Fuhr, a 7-time NHL all-star, was named one of the 100 Greatest NHL Players in history and was the first black hockey player to win a Stanley Cup and the first black player to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
“I’m honored to be named the 2018 ALF Charity Golf Classic Sports Legend Honoree,” says Fuhr. “And Lisa and I are excited to help support the Foundation and their efforts to raise money and awareness to fight cancer.”
Daniel Kindbergh of Brookfield Properties has been named the Ann Liguori Foundation Business Honoree recipient this year.
