Festivities include Christmas Voyage aboard the new Lady Bird II Yacht
Horseshoe Bay, TX – Travelers are welcome to come experience the splendor of the holiday season at Horseshoe Bay Resort, the premier golf resort destination in the Central Texas Hill Country and part of the Crescent Hotels & ResortsLatitudes collection, which continues its tradition of seasonal signature events with its upcoming slate of Winter Wonderland festivities. To kick off the holidays in style, the resort will host its third annual Holiday Tree Lighting of its giant 50-ft tall Christmas tree from 5 pm to 8 pm on November 30th in the center of our Live Oak Lawn. Guests will enjoy the music and mesmerizing synchronized lights.
As the acclaimed resort transforms into the Central Texas Hill Country’s version of the North Pole, its holiday-themed activities include the November 30th Winter Wonderland extravaganza, complimentary s’mores every Friday and Saturday evening, and a Friday Night Holiday Film Fest every Friday in December.
WINTER WONDERLAND & HOLIDAY SHOPPING MARKET
On Saturday November 30, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, the wintry festivities move into high gear when Horseshoe Bay Resort guests will enjoy a Holiday Shopping Market with specially curated vendors. Outdoor activities include horse-drawn carriage rides, photos with Santa, letters to Santa, Texas snow, a 50-foot Christmas tree lighting at 6:00 pm, fireside s’mores, delicious hot chocolate, holiday laser light show, and a 6:15pm performance by Vocalibre, Texas State University’s A Capella group.
That afternoon, Horseshoe Bay Resort will transform into a full-scale Winter Market with an alluring array of retail vendors from all over Central Texas. At the weekend’s Wine Expo at Winter Wonderland, guests will taste their way through 30 prestigious wineries pouring samples. Guests may purchase their favorite wines by the bottle or by the case directly from the wineries. Wine Expo tickets are $45 resort guests, and $35 for Horseshoe Bay members.

Saturday, Nov. 30 Wine Expo at Winter Wonderland (5-8 pm, Palm Pavilion)
Taste your way through 30 prestigious wineries pouring samples. Purchase your favorite wines by the bottle or by the case directly from the wineries. Members enjoy special pricing at cost plus 10% and free delivery for purchases over $5,000. ($45/resort Guests, $35/members)
Thursday, Dec. 5 – Saturday, Dec. 28 Christmas On The Green (Whitewater Putting Course)
Our wonderful Horseshoe Bay Resort members have generously donated their time and creativity to compete in a Christmas tree decorating contest with a portion of the green fees from every round played during the contest going to benefit a very worthwhile charity, CASA of the Highland Lakes. Everyone is invited to play a round, vote for their favorite tree, and enjoy being part of the giving spirit of the season.
Friday, Dec. 13 & Saturday, Dec. 14 Complimentary S’mores (7-8 pm, Whitewater Patio)
Come to the Whitewater Patio to try our latest combinations with a seasonal twist. Served if weather lets us light the fire pits…they taste better when it’s chilly outside!
Friday, Dec. 13 & Saturday, Dec. 14 Santa’s Workshop (6-10 pm, Jungle Kids Club)
Kids love to make cards and gifts for Christmas, and we’ve set up a special workshop just for them. $45 per child includes dinner, gift making, s’mores, and holiday movie time.
Saturday, Dec. 14 Elfie Selfie Scavenger Hunt (8 am-1 pm, Whitewater Putting Hut)
We have some Elves on the loose at the Resort! Pick up a clue card at the Putting Hut, follow the clues to spot them and take a selfie at each spot. Write the location on the clue card and return it to the hut for a sweet treat!
Saturday, Dec. 14 Gingerbread – Cookie Decorating (3-5 pm, Whitewater Patio Activity Hut)
We’ll have Mr. & Mrs. and Boy & Girl Gingerbread Cookies for each member of your family ready to decorate with icing and holiday candies. If the weather is too chilly, we will move indoors to a conference room for this activity. $10 per family. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Saturday, Dec. 14 Christmas Yacht Cruise on Lake LBJ (7:30-9:30 pm, Lady Bird II)
Board the Lady Bird II for a Christmas Yacht Cruise on Lake LBJ, complete with twinkling holiday décor, on-board entertainment, a decadent dessert menu, plus a cash bar stocked with specialty holiday cocktails. Cruise admission includes shuttle service to and from the resort hotel lobby to the yacht.
Sunday, Dec. 15 The Charlie Brown Christmas Breakfast (9-11 am in the Granite Ballroom)
Awake to the joy and fun of a Charlie Brown Christmas Breakfast Buffet featuring the original Charlie Brown music of Vince Guaraldi, dance performances by Pulse Dance Project, and photo ops with costume characters including Snoopy and his friends.
