2002 PGA Championship winner Rich Beem joins Director of Instruction Bobby Steiner for unique two-day game improvement opportunities.
HORSESHOE BAY, TEXAS – The Golf Academy at Horseshoe Bay Resort – located at the AAA-Four Diamond and Conde Nast Readers’ Choice Award-winning resort, a part of the Crescent Hotels & Resorts Latitudes collection – has the return of its 2-Day Major Champion Golf School that debuted last year.
On March 21 and 22, 2026, golfers can experience a two-day golf school with 2002 PGA Championship winner Rich Beem and Horseshoe Bay’s Resort Director of Golf Instruction Bobby Steiner. This powerhouse coaching team will provide the tools and confidence for golfers to take their game to the next level. Availability is limited to six participants.
Beem’s father was a 25-year PGA of America member and taught the game full-time. Thus growing up, Beem assumed he would be a lifelong teacher as well. “I would’ve been if I hadn’t found success on the PGA Tour,” says Beem. “It’s nice to be on the lesson tee again, helping people get the most out of their game,” says Beem.
The Major Champion 2-Day Golf School package includes guest room accommodations, as well as admission to the school.
Major Champion 2-Day Golf School Schedule:
- 9am to Noon – Putting, Chipping, Pitching, and Full Swing (complete with Trackman video analysis)
- Noon – Break for lunch with Instructor (included in your package)
- 1pm – 9-Hole Playing Lesson with Beem and Steiner
- 3pm – End of school day, all participants are free to continue playing and/or practicing for the remainder of the day.
“Some lessons are better learned on the course, and so in addition to playing my own ball, I play the role of caddie during playing lessons,” says Beem. “It’s more about teaching people how to think their way around the course. Many 15-handicappers could be single-digit if they just made better decisions on the course.”
