Raleigh, NC—North Carolina-based golf player development program, Operation 36, announces their next workshop for Golf Professionals who are interested in growing their golf coaching business in 2023.
This workshop “How to Create an Unstoppable Ladies Program” will feature special guest Caitlin Cannon, PGA, of The Atlanta Athletic Club. In a short period of time, her Ladies program has experienced incredible growth.
Cannon recently shared the story of starting the Operation 36 program:
“I was hesitant at first since it wasn’t something our club had done before, and the instructors were having great success with private lessons. After some thought, I decided to give it a shot and hoped to have 24 women sign up. I sent one email to the club explaining the eight-week program and included the schedule. I had 100 responses within a couple of days.
Cannon continued, “What was it about this model that invoked such a response? The answer was the structure and the clear path of progression. Most women like to see things planned out and want to know where it’s taking them. The best thing about it is that it gets them out on the course early in the game improvement process. They get to experience the game right away! They get to enjoy the social aspects of playing in a foursome without the stress of playing from hundreds of yards away. The excitement of making their first par drives them to come back for more. By offering a multi-week program, they’re committing their time, whereas, in private lessons and one-off clinics, we can see inconsistency in dedication.”
Cannon’s program started strong, and has grown tremendously year after year. In this workshop, she will be sharing her best tips for growing a long-term Ladies program.
Golf professionals who are interested in growing their programs are invited to join us for this free workshop. It will be hosted online, on Monday, July 10th at 1:00 p.m. ET. This workshop is designed to provide strategies that will be useful to all golf professionals, even those who are not currently in an Operation 36 program location.
Space is limited, and those who are interested may grab their seat through this free registration here.
About Operation 36
Operation 36 is a Division of Golf Genius and is the most effective developmental program to teach beginners how to play golf. All new players begin on the course, and instead of starting at the tee box, they play from 25 yards away from the hole. Once the player shoots par (36) from 25 yards, they back up to 50 yards, and so on, until they are shooting even par (36) from the full tee box. Participants engage in weekly classes taught by golf professionals and all progress of the golfers is tracked in the Operation 36 Platform. The Operation 36 mission is to create 1 million new golfers over the next five years, and they want to help coaches with introducing new golfers and retaining them for the long term.
