October 15, 2024

Ken Martin, PGA Certified Professional Instructor at Keiser University College of Golf, shares expert tips on how to read greens like a pro. In this video, Ken explains the key factors to consider when reading greens, including the importance of understanding speed and slope to predict the break of your putts.

He demonstrates techniques for uphill, downhill, and side-breaking putts, emphasizing the concept of “dead weight” speed—allowing the ball to roll into the hole at the perfect pace.

Ken also introduces a helpful drill called the compass drill, which helps golfers improve their feel for speed and break from various distances and directions on the green. Watch this video to learn how to improve your putting game and read greens like an expert.
