Hunt Valley Country Club Celebrates 50 Years
Serving the Community, Supporting Charity Are Integral Parts of Club’s Culture
DALLAS — Hunt Valley Country Club, an Arcis Golf property situated in the scenic Maryland countryside, kicked off its 50th anniversary celebration by doing what it does best—supporting its community.
The hub of a family-centric neighborhood once known for historic horse farms, Hunt Valley is now recognized as the region’s premier family golf club, featuring 27 holes of golf meandering through rolling hills and picturesque valleys.
At the core of Hunt Valley Country Club’s culture is service to its community and making an impact at the local level. Through the years, some of the area’s most prestigious charitable functions and successful fundraising golf tournaments have been held at Hunt Valley Country Club. Most recently, through a national program called ClubsHELP, the club donated bottled water, sports drinks, energy bars, and snacks for frontline responders dealing with Covid-19 at The Greater Baltimore Medical Center.
“Hunt Valley Country Club can make the most significant positive impact by doing what it does best – serving our community – as we have done for 50 years,” said Mark Fischer, General Manager. “At the core of our club’s values is supporting our constituencies – our members, our neighbors, our employees, and the greater metropolitan Baltimore region.”
Shortly after being acquired by Arcis Golf in 2014, the 265-acre property underwent a dramatic multi-million dollar revitalization. The golf course was redesigned and a new two-tier practice range with both grass and artificial turf hitting areas was added. Additionally, The Ridge 9—an innovative, family-friendly amenity unique to the area—was created. Here, nine holes of golf and 18 holes of Disc golf and Footgolf may be contested. The Ridge 9 also allows Hunt Valley County Club the ability to host different types of private events, from birthday celebrations to corporate outings and benefit golf tournaments.
The course renovation won the 2017 Design Excellence Recognition from the American Society of Golf Course Architects and the transformation bolstered Hunt Valley Country Club’s reputation as a family-centric club, with fun experiences for all age groups and abilities.
The investment included the transformation of the clubhouse interior, which was recreated with an open, flowing floorplan that feeds onto an expansive deck. Casual seating areas, tables and chairs surrounding several fire pits were designed to maximize the views of the surrounding golf course and countryside scenery.
“Arcis Golf is committed to enhancing service levels, amenities, and experiences at our facilities nationwide,” said Blake S. Walker, Founder and CEO of Arcis Golf. “Reaching a milestone of 50 years is a direct reflection on the support of Hunt Valley’s membership as well as the commitment of our leadership and employees as we continue to approach the club business from an entirely new perspective. We look forward to elevating the experience both on and off the golf course for the next 50 years, too, creating new memories that will last for lifetimes.”
As part of the ongoing celebration, the John Albert Commemorative 50th Anniversary Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, October 10. Named after Hunt Valley Country Club’s longtime, recently retired director of golf, the 18-hole event is expected to attract local celebrities, past club champions, members, and guests.
Attractive anniversary year options for full, weekday-only, and young professional memberships include unique benefits and privileges, access to a variety of golf, tennis and pool amenities as well as other Arcis properties, nightly “family-style” meals and member favorites, and a proprietary virtual content platform, Life. By Arcis.
