Phoenix, AZ – The I GOT THIS Foundation is honored to announce that Scott Wood, Vice President of Properties for the LPGA, will be the esteemed guest speaker at the 2025 I GOT THIS Charity Scramble. Hosted at Orange Tree Golf Resort, on Friday, November 7, this event promises to be a day filled with excitement, community spirit, and a shared commitment to promoting inclusive golf opportunities for people with an intellectual impairment. Amy Bockerstette, an adaptive golfer and disabilities advocate, co-founded the I GOT THIS Foundation after a legendary moment at the 2019 WM Phoenix Open, where she made par on TPC Scottsdale’s iconic 16th hole alongside PGA Tour pro Gary Woodland. This remarkable achievement has inspired millions and set the stage for the foundation’s mission to create inclusive golfing opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Scott Wood, a pivotal figure in the LPGA for the past 11 seasons, has been instrumental in shaping some of the most prestigious events in the world of professional golf, including the Solheim Cup and the CME Tour Championship. Originally hailing from Atlanta, Scott made Scottsdale his home in 2015 with his wife and two daughters, bringing with him a wealth of experience in experiential marketing from his work with renowned agencies such as Momentum and IMG. His unique blend of creativity and operational expertise continues to leave a significant impact on the sport.
The I GOT THIS Charity Scramble is more than a golf tournament—it’s the cornerstone fundraiser for the I GOT THIS Foundation. Proceeds from this event directly support I GOT THIS® Discovery Golf Clinics nationwide, I GOT THIS®Golf Camps nationwide, the online I GOT THIS® Instructor Academy, staffing, and the annual I GOT THIS Championship which takes place in Mesa, AZ. These programs are dedicated to empowering individuals through the game of golf, providing them with the skills and confidence to excel both on and off the course.
Community support through sponsorships includes Unomojo, LPGA, Forever Young Foundation, GR8 FR8 Logistics, XXIO, Golf It Forward, Van’s Worldwide Golf Shops, Dickinson Wright, Happy Golf Company, and the newly established nonprofit, Preston’s Friends. “We are thrilled to see the growing support of businesses here in AZ, reaching the decision makers who understand the importance of opportunities. That is what we look to deliver at I GOT THIS. The opportunity to learn the game of golf and the opportunity to play,” said I GOT THIS Executive Director Tracy Hupko. “Sponsor dedication ensures the continued success and growth of the I GOT THIS Foundation initiatives in Arizona and across the country.”
There are still numerous ways to join in this inspiring mission. Become a sponsor, register as a golfer, sign up to volunteer, or donate an item for the raffle or silent auction. Every contribution, no matter the size, plays a vital role in supporting the foundation’s efforts.
This is a celebration of the achievements of inclusive golf and a movement that continues to build a legacy of empowerment. For more information and to get involved, please visit www.igotthis.foundation/i-got-this-charity-scramble.
