New series asks indoor golf franchisors to share what works, what doesn’t, and what owning a location really costs – giving prospective owners a candid look before they invest
The Indoor Golf Alliance (IGA), the professional association for the indoor golf industry, today announced the launch of the Franchisor Spotlight Series, a live webinar and podcast featuring in-depth interviews with indoor golf franchise leaders. The first episode, “Interview with a Franchisor” featuring GolfVX, will stream live on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at 8 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. MT / 10 a.m. CT / 11 a.m. ET.
Indoor golf has drawn growing interest from entrepreneurs, investors and existing operators, and franchising has become one of the most common paths into the business. Yet prospective owners often find it hard to get a clear, side-by-side picture of how franchise models differ. The Franchisor Spotlight Series is designed to close that gap with frank, education-focused conversations.
Each episode features a franchisor executive in a 60-minute live session: a 40-minute interview followed by 15 minutes of audience Q&A. Topics include:
- The franchisor’s story, business model and typical location
- What top-performing locations do differently
- Common pitfalls, lessons learned and why some locations struggle
- The investment, fees and support included with the franchise
- Who the ideal franchisee is – and who should not buy
“Anyone thinking about opening an indoor golf facility deserves a straight answer about what it really takes before they sign anything,” said Phil Immordino, of the Indoor Golf Alliance. “As a neutral, educational resource for the industry, IGA wants to put franchisors and future owners in the same room and let them have an honest conversation.”
Who Should Attend
- Entrepreneurs considering getting into the indoor golf industry
- Independent operators looking to expand or explore franchise systems
- Golf courses looking to offer indoor options
- Investors and commercial real estate professionals
- Suppliers and vendors who want to learn more about how franchises operate
Financial figures discussed will come from each franchisor’s Franchise Disclosure Document, and IGA does not endorse any individual brand. Sessions are recorded and released as podcast episodes, so audiences can listen on demand.
How to Attend
Attendance is free. To RSVP for the November 11 premiere, email phili@indoorgolfalliance.org
