Entrepreneurs Take Center Stage At 29th Annual ING Spring Conference
LAKE MARY, FL – A panel of successful entrepreneurs will share their vast experiences during one ING University session at the 29th Annual ING Spring Conference in Sebring, FL, this May.
So far three people have committed as panelists: World Golf Hall of Fame inductee Jan Stephenson, Frank Carroll, Co-Founder of Green Keepers golf accessories, and Dave Hamilton, President and co-creator of The Putting Arc.
The conference is set for May 19-23, 2019 at the SEVEN Sebring Raceway Hotel, formerly the Chateau Elan Hotel and Conference Center in Sebring, Florida.
The non-profit International Network of Golf, the industry’s only media-based networking organization, conducts this annual gathering of media and golf companies and leaders. ING is “where the media and golf industry connect.”
Anyone in the golf industry and media is invited to join ING and attend the conference. Call 407-474-0531 for details.
The ING University session will take place on Wednesday afternoon, May 22 at the conference host SEVEN Sebring Raceway Hotel. It is one of three educational sessions planned for that day. It will feature a panel of entrepreneurs discussing the ups and downs of turning a blossoming idea into a successful business in the golf industry.
Stephenson followed up her Hall of Fame golf career with several successful ventures into businesses. She designed the Walkabout Golf Club course in Florida, developed the successful Jan Stephenson line of wines, and became the owner of Tarpon Woods Golf Club in Tarpon Springs, among other ventures.
Carroll’s Green Keepers company is an offshoot of his family’s ultra successful EPC plastics company. It’s a manufacturing business which produces mechanical engineered components from scientific resins for the medical, automotive, aircraft, fire, safety, homeland security and military markets and employs around 100 people. Carroll decided to utilize the expertise, products and machinery to develop a line of golf accessories, including popular 4 Yards More golf tees.
The Putting Arc is the most popular putting aid on the PGA and LPGA Tours. It was created by Golf Digest Top 100 Teacher VJ Trolio, and Dave and Joey Hamilton in the winter of 2002. They noticed that if the putter is swung perfectly “on-plane” along an inclined plane, that the putter head appeared to move on a curved path, when viewed from overhead. Thus the curved Putting Arc was born, patents and trademarks were obtained, and the company has continued to grow throughout the years.
Others will be added between now and the ING Spring Conference.
The ING Spring Conference will feature a full schedule of networking and educational events:
