LAKE MARY, FL – The International Network of Golf (ING), a non-profit media-based networking organization, announces that the deadline for submissions into the 31st Annual ING Media Awards is rapidly approaching.
ING membership is open to anyone in the golf industry and media. As golf’s only media-based networking organization, ING is “where media connects with the golf industry.” ING conducts annual media and business awards, hosts the ING Hospitality Room at the PGA Merchandise Show, and facilitates ING Forums during the year. Jamison Golf Group, a long-standing PR & Media Relations company, founded and continues to manage ING.
Prospective members may visit www.inggolf.com and click on “Join ING.” Those who join before the Media Awards deadline of October 11 will be eligible to participate in this year’s awards program.
To submit entries, writers should log onto www.inggolf.com, click on “Media Awards,” and complete the entry form, including the link to the entry.
This year, the ING Media Awards introduces a new category: the Book category. This addition complements the existing categories, which include seven writing categories: Feature Writing, Travel Writing, Business Writing, Opinions/Editorials, Profile Writing, Equipment/Apparel Writing, and Competition Coverage. Other categories are Excellence in Publications, Media Show Award, Radio Shows (two categories), and Podcasts.
Judging will be conducted by a panel of three independent experts per category, selected by Individual Category Chairs. Efforts are made to anonymize articles by removing by-lines and publication names before they are sent to the judges.
Winners will be announced and honored at the ING Media Awards Presentation Press Conference in January at the PGA Show.
For rules, regulations, category descriptions, entry forms, and a list of past winners, please visit the Awards section on www.inggolf.com. Anyone in the media or golf industry is invited to join. For more information, call 407-474-0531, or visit www.inggolf.com.
