Jeff Ellis Golf Auctions.com Announces First Online Auction of Collectibles
Antique golf club authority Jeff Ellis, of Jeff Ellis Golf Auctions.com, announces his first online auction featuring over 125 lots of fine golf antiques and historic collectibles. The sale, which has just been posted online at jeffellisgolfauctions.com, runs from March 6 to March 23, and features items from every era – from Old Tom Morris to Tiger Woods.
Highlights include long nose clubs hand-made by British Open Champions ‘Old Tom’ Morris and Willie Park, two important oil portraits of Gene Sarazen from his estate, and the most comprehensive collection of early 1960s PING Scottsdale putters (made by John and Karsten Solheim in their Arizona garage) ever offered at auction. Wood-shafted patent clubs are also represented by a superb “one-piece” wood, a Hagen concave sand iron, and two water irons. Also featured is a complete set of three unused 1950s Timex Ben Hogan watches in their original boxes with the original point of purchase display, a variety of unused vintage golf balls, a 2000 US Open Tiger Woods caddy bib – and much more.
