President & CEO Jeff Morgan, FASAE, CAE, Announces 2027 Retirement

August 13, 2026

Alexandria, VA – President and CEO Jeff Morgan, FASAE, CAE, will retire September 30, 2027, concluding 13 distinguished years leading the Club Management Association of America and The Club Foundation.

During his tenure, the Association regained a solid financial footing and repositioned and rebranded itself within the industry to better serve club professionals. CMAA made a strategic, forward-looking shift to strengthen member offerings and benefits, including research, educational resources, and a revitalized Club Foundation. His leadership of the National Headquarters team enabled fruitful work, furthering the vision and mission of the Association.

Morgan shares, “Serving as President & CEO of CMAA for the past 13 years has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional career. I have had the privilege of working alongside dedicated members, volunteer leaders, Chapters, Partners, and professional staff who share a passion for advancing the club management profession. As I prepare to retire, I am grateful for the relationships we’ve built and the progress we’ve achieved together. I remain fully committed to supporting a thoughtful leadership transition and ensuring CMAA is well-positioned for continued success in the years ahead.”

Morgan first joined CMAA in October 2014. Previously, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Investor Relations Institute and held senior positions in two other associations focusing on global derivatives and property & casualty insurance.

CMAA Chair Janine Budzius, CCM, CCE, explains, “On behalf of CMAA’s Board of Directors, I would like to thank Jeff for his service to the association. We have already begun the process to engage a national search for his successor with the expectation to hire a new CEO prior to his retirement. We will ensure a deliberate approach, ensuring a smooth leadership transition and continuity for the Association and its operations.”
