(Jacksonville, FL) – Jerry Kelly’s run at the 2018 Schwab Cup Championship continued with a T-2 at the U.S. Senior Open at The Broadmoor Golf Club in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Using his Cure CX1, Jerry has consistently been in contention throughout the first half of the PGA Tour Champions season leading the Tour in scoring average (68.86) and birdie average (4.03). This season he ranks 3rd, 4th, and 5th respectively in putting average, overall putting average, and one putt percentage. This most recent 2nd place finish makes it the fifth straight top-10 finish, and seven out of the last eight for Kelly. With half the season remaining, Kelly looks to follow up his 2017 Rookie of the Year season with a 2018 Charles Schwab Cup Championship as he heads into The Constellation Senior Players Championship as a favorite.
Each week more and more Top Professionals from the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tour are choosing to put a Cure Putter into play. Kelly Switched to his Cure Putter midway through his rookie season in 2017 and has been on fire since. “I’m playing great and my Cure putter has been a game changer for me. Making a lot of birdies and some great par saves. Had a great rookie year but I am really focusing on competing for the Schwab Cup this year. If I can keep putting like this, I have a shot.”
“Watching Jerry contend with his CX1 week in and week out couldn’t make us happier for him” said Jim McCarthy, CEO of Cure Putters. “We are excited for Jerry as he follows up a fantastic rookie year in 2017 with a run at the Schwab Cup Championship this year on the PGA Tour Champions.”
