After Another Top-5 Finish, Jerry Kelly Reclaims The Top Spot On The Schwab Cup Points List As He Heads Into Final Major Of The Year As A Favorite
(Jacksonville, FL) – Jerry Kelly’s stellar play secured his sixth straight Top-5 finish of 2018 at The Constellation Senior Players Championship at Exmoor Country Club in Highland, Illinois. Kelly’s final round 64 (-8) was good enough to earn him a T-4 finish as he continues to polish his game coming into The Senior Open Championship. This most recent top-5 finish helped him regain the top spot in the Schwab Cup standings, a title Kelly has his sights on after the stellar Rookie of the Year performance in 2017. His ball striking was strong as always, hitting 83.33% of his greens in regulation, coupled with a Sunday 1.588 putts per GIR average, led to his eight under par final round. Kelly heads to The Senior Open Championship held at famed St. Andrews next week as a field favorite.
Each week more and more Top Professionals from the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tour are choosing to put a Cure Putter into play. Kelly Switched to his Cure Putter midway through his rookie season in 2017 and has been on fire since. “I’m playing great and my Cure putter has been a game changer for me. Making a lot of birdies and some great par saves. Had a great rookie year but I am really focusing on competing for the Schwab Cup this year. If I can keep putting like this, I have a shot.”
“Another major, another great finish for Jerry Kelly. We’re rooting for [Jerry] to pull out a win this week at St. Andrews” said Jim McCarthy, CEO of Cure Putters. “We know how competitive he is and how close he has come to a major this season, The Senior Open Championship can be that victory for him.”
