This last weekend, the LPGA Tour hosted its BMW Ladies Championship, held at LPGA International Busan in Busan, Republic Korea. Jin Young Ko continued her LPGA domination this week, shooting all four rounds under par to finish T1 at 22 under.
Jin Young made a great birdie putt on 17 to tie for the lead, then stroked a large-breaking, two-level 70 footer to one foot on 18, to force a playoff. On the first playoff hole she hit a wonderful 170 yard hybrid to under three feet and went on to make the birdie putt and win the tournament.
This win is Jin Young’s second consecutive win and fourth win of the 2021 season. She became the 200th South Korean-born player to win an LPGA tournament, and also became #1 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.
Congratulations, Jin Young!
