LOS ANGELES – With the 2024 LPGA Tour season kicking off this week, tournament officials announced today that the entire tournament field of 144 players competing in the upcoming JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro will receive complimentary lodging accommodations throughout tournament week, April 22-28, courtesy of title and presenting sponsors JM Eagle and Plastpro.
Walter and Shirley Wang, CEO’s of JM Eagle and Plastpro, will cover the lodging costs for all players competing in the 2024 JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro. Each player will be offered first-class hotel accommodations in Hollywood, along with complimentary VIP shuttle service to Wilshire Country Club throughout tournament week.

Los Angeles’ premier LPGA Tour event, the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro is set to return to historic Wilshire Country Club in Hollywood competing for an elevated $3 million purse. In the tournament’s inaugural year in 2023, Walter and Shirley Wang doubled the tournament purse from $1.5 to $3 million – one of the first LPGA Tour events to feature a $3 million purse – and is now one of the largest prize funds on the LPGA Tour outside of major championships and the CME Group Tour Championship.

The JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro will be in its second year in 2024, and overall, the sixth year the LPGA Tour has competed at Wilshire Country Club. In 2023, the Walter and Shirley Wang elevated the overall player experience with not only doubling the purse to $3 million but also including a VIP Pro-Am Party that included more than $75,000 in giveaways to the LPGA Tour players. More than 100 LPGA players attended the VIP Pro-Am Party in 2023.

Volunteer Registration Now Open: Volunteer registration for the JM Eagle LA Championship is now open. Each year, hundreds of volunteers donate their time to serve critical needs such as marshaling, scoring, transportation, hospitality services and many other important roles. The JM Eagle LA Championship is seeking more than 500 volunteers to fill a variety of roles tournament week. The $65 package includes an official tournament branded golf shirt, a hat or visor, volunteer pin, one volunteer badge allowing on course access and free parking all week; four daily grounds tickets; and free breakfast and lunch for each day worked. The JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro takes place at historic Wilshire Country Club in the heart of Hollywood. Wilshire Country Club has a long history of hosting professional golf events. Since 2018, the LPGA Tour has staged its premiere Los Angeles LPGA event at Wilshire Country Club and is one of the select few venues to host events on the LPGA Tour, PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions.
In 2023, major champion Hannah Green captured her first LPGA Tour win in four years via a two-hole playoff. Past champions at Wilshire Country Club include Nasa Hataoka, Brooke Henderson, Minjee Lee and Moriya Jutanugarn.
