JOB OVERVIEW
The Director of Digital Media and Performance Marketing is a strategic leader overseeing all digital marketing initiatives, focusing on performance-driven campaigns, optimizing digital media channels, and driving measurable business growth. This role will lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of multi-channel digital marketing campaigns, leveraging data and analytics to ensure maximum ROI. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading high-performing teams, managing large-scale campaigns, and using analytics to drive decision-making.
The right candidate will be passionate about using data and AI to derive insights and drive impactful marketing and business decisions. This role will work closely with other e-commerce and Marketing cross-functional partners (UX Manager, Brand Managers, Retail Marketing Managers, Analytics, and Site Merchandising) to create/maintain a best-in-class digital marketing program and partner with e-commerce leadership to ensure successful implementation, optimization, and reporting. This individual will report to the Sr. Director of E-commerce Growth.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead performance marketing efforts across channels like SEM, display, paid social, programmatic, and affiliate marketing.
- Define and optimize marketing funnels to maximize conversions and ensure alignment with broader marketing and business goals.
- Manage budget for e-commerce and brand campaigns to ensure KPIs and revenue forecasts are achieved.
- Lead strategy for cross channel incrementality testing.
- Oversee day-to-day advertising operations and continuously evaluate and optimize marketing spend and channel allocation. Hands-on development, testing, and optimization of all digital marketing activities.
- Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive SEO strategy. Including content strategy and technology roadmap.
- Maintain effective communication with senior leadership on digital marketing KPIs, strategy, and progress toward business goals.
- Accountable for developing and monitoring quarterly and annual priorities for the team.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of all digital marketing channels and create a strategic measurement framework that supports both operational and long-term decisions.
- Oversee 3P marketplaces, including product setup, merchandising, and media.
- Use data-driven analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations on campaign adjustments to optimize results.
- Collaborate with the data science and analytics team to build models and frameworks that improve attribution, predictive analysis, and marketing effectiveness.
- Work with our sister companies to develop a cross brand acquisition and retention strategy.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and results-oriented thinking within the digital marketing team.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of digital marketing professionals, ensuring clear direction, KPIs, and performance feedback.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong emphasis on performance marketing and digital media buying.
- Minimum 5 years of management experience required.
- Prior search/social/programmatic campaign management required.
- Experience leveraging web analytics tools and optimizing campaigns based on performance.
- Experience managing affiliate relationships is a plus.
